Today about 9:15 am i visited the Steak and Shake location, in the South Euclid, Ohio location, 44121. It's a new store, that is literally, at plaza on the corner of the street I live on.

I am a fan and looked forward to the convenience of one nearby and I worked part time at the Walmart in the same plaza. I am a senior citizen, live alone and woke up hungry. I had saved one of the numerous weekly coupons, for $1.00 off on breakfast. i had also never had breakfast at Steak and Shake.

I am a senior, don't eat out much, on a fixed income, I incorporated this visit with my morning walk. Upon entering, there were 4 people inside, and no one in the drive through. 2 people at the counter and 2 at one table together. i sat at a table and took a menu, to read.

Nothing in the menu mentioned breakfast, the only mention of breakfast, was on one of the 2 paper place mats. No problem, I waited for the waitress to come , after about 10 minutes, I moved to the counter, I noticed one person, a women dressed like a waitress cooking and doing what ever, there waws a man there doing something as well who later said he was the manager. After 5 minutes at the counter,( because I am timing them now), I asked in a loud voice to see the manager, the man said he was. i said " I have been here 20 minutes and no one has said a word to me, so I am leaving." His reply was, "OK", and he turned and went back to what ever they were doing.

I went to Bob Evans and had breakfast. I have no plans on patronizing this location again. Oh, the manager was a black man, this isn't racial, I am a black man too.

If this is the management's attitude, I can guess what the worker's attitudes are like. I ran my business in medical supply for over 20 years, and you get your clients one at a time and you lose your clients one at a time too.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Preferred solution: How do you compensate for loss of good will?.

Steak N Shake Cons: There was no service given and people with nasty attitudes, I refused to spend my time and moey there and obviously.

Steak n Shake, for whatever reason, has the worst reputation for lousy food and service. They need to fire the CEO and replace everyone in Corporate because what they've got "running the show" now isn't improving things at all. They just keep getting worse.
