I went to steak n shake in Florence KY on 2/7/2018 and the lady who was serving was also working drive thru and grill. Very kind and prompt lady mind you.

She took our order then went and cooked our food and made our shakes all while who we assumed was the manager on duty purple hair purple shirt lady was sitting in a booth nodding out. Looked like she was on {{REDACTED}}. She finally got up and went outside for 20 minutes only to come back and nod some more.

The server her name was Amanda was doing all the work alone while this manager just nodded out. It was horrible but Amanda provided great food and great service.

Product or Service Mentioned: Steak N Shake Manager.

Yeah I’m betting the OP has never had to pull a double with a double back in less then 6 hours. Have a little empathy *** People NEED to sleep!

Have you ever heard of a lunch break?

I have many times used my lunch break to catch a small nap due to being overworked. I would like to say how mean and cruel you sound for having no sympathy for a hard working American.

"booth nodding out"Was this manager really nodding out or dozing off because of lack of sleep? This company understaffs it's spots so you can get a cheap burger and fries.This means long waits just to have your order taken and to get it to your table.In the meantime, these managers have to do what they can with what they have which means the second someone quits for lack of hours, they have to stay.Tell you what, be willing to pay more of a burger in a sit down joint and the service levels will go up.S&S was a great place until the foreign bean counters took over with the thought that the only thing that matters is the Share HOLDERS.This is America. Your long wait means nothing if the share holder value goes up(and CEO pay attached to that value).Tell them you don't mind paying more for good service and you'll get it.
